Classes are available for different levels of experience and interest for students. The groups take into account whether you are a beginner or someone with some previous experience of yoga.
Beginner Class
This beginner’s class is for those who have never practiced yoga asanas before, and for those who are unable to perform the more difficult practices; and prepares the body and mind for intermediate and meditation poses. This class focuses on the eye exercises, neck exercises, leg exercises, hand exercises, relaxation, meditation poses, Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation), and basic postures. Intermediate Class
The intermediate level asanas are reasonably difficult and are recommended for people who can perform the beginner’s group without discomfort or strain. Included in this level are the padmasana, backward and forward bending, spinal twisting, balancing and inversions. Refer to the Hatha Yoga Program for details.
Advanced Class
The advanced asanas are intended for the yoga aspirants with extensive control over their muscles and nervous system, and who have already mastered the intermediate level of asanas. Advanced asanas are frequently physically demanding. . Refer to the Hatha Yoga Program for details.
Open Class
This is an open level Hatha Yoga class on a drop-in basis for people with limited experience in yoga, or for those who want to improve their practice. This class focuses on the basic postures whilst working on variations, the headstand and breathing and relaxation. Students are advised to take a beginners' course before attending regular open classes.
Private Class
For those people who are unable to attend a regular class or would like the opportunity to work on a one-to-one basis or as a small group with a yoga teacher
